AMBRIDGE REPRISE
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psalms 133:1

A Glance at the Labor Unions

Waiting

Three things indicate that these men are job holders. They wear union logo buttons on their hats which show they are members in good standing, they have satisfied looks on their faces, and they carry lunch boxes.

Life may not be all that good, but it could be considerably worse for these steelworkers.

Dues paying
The times are not yet right for payroll deductions. Members pay their dues monthly at the union headquarters.
Union Officers This meeting is in the subregional office of the steelworkers organizing committee in Ambridge. Subregional director Joe Timko (left) listens to local union president Thomas Peasner (right) give the union committee's position on a grievance which is being appealed to the national union.
